James Saito

Saito, a native of Los Angeles, California, has sustained a broad acting career with highlights in film, television, and theater. He is widely known for his many on-screen roles including his fan favorite portrayal of The Shredder in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Saito has also appeared in several notable films including Life of Pi, Big Eyes, While We’re Young, The Thomas Crown Affair, The Devil's Advocate, Home Alone 3, Pearl Harbor, and can currently be seen in the Netflix film Always Be My Maybe.

He has worked with several noteworthy film directors such as Ang Lee, Barry Levinson, Gus Van Sant, Noah Baumbach, and Tim Burton.

His TV credits include Altered Carbon for Netflix, The Terror for the AMC Network, and Modern Love for AMAZON. James has enjoyed working on CBS’s New Amsterdam Elementary, Instinct, and Hawaii Five-0, HBO’s Paterno and The Deuce, and the Netflix Originals Iron Fist and House of Cards. Saito also starred on Greg Berlanti’s ABC drama Eli Stone as series regular Dr. Chen.
